Security Resource Now Available

In this issue of Connect we are debuting a column called “Securely Speaking,” written by RSPA’s newly appointed security advisor, Nathan Sweaney. Nathan has been involved in the POS industry for many years, and so is acutely aware of the challenges RSPA members experience every day. Legal Consultations Still a Hot Item
If you’ve been a RSPA member for any length of time, you’re likely familiar with the Legal Assistance Program, offering the Legal Hotline and a host of tools. RSPA’s attorney, Bob Goldberg, is here to help. Regardless of your business-related concern—from personnel issues to contract negotiations to policy review to new laws—call Bob for advice. Just like the consultations with Nathan, all phone consultations with Bob are free to RSPA members.

Currently, RSPA members can also access 35 legal documents and templates on the website.

RSPA’s Member Directory

We’ve recently revamped our directory! It pulls real-time member information from the RSPA database; so please make sure your contact information and title are up-to-date. Just contact us at Membership@GoRSPA.org. And we hope you frequently take advantage of this resource: Make new connections, explore possible partnerships, reconnect with old colleagues—the Member Directory is a wonderful marketing tool and an exclusive benefit for RSPA members.

RSPA offers several cost-savings programs for members. We encourage you to consider incorporating them into your strategic plans. Included are:

• Discounted UPS shipping in the United States and Canada
• Discounted registration rates for all RSPA events
• Special discounts for other industry conventions and shows throughout the year
• RSPA Scholarship Program—perhaps one of the best examples of RSPA members helping RSPA members. The program has granted more than $2 million in educational funding to RSPA member families. Certain eligibility rules apply; but it’s a benefit worth exploring, especially if your children (or grandchildren) are applying to or returning to college in 2018.
