What is the most encouraging thing you see for the future of the retail IT industry?
The last two years have been a test of resilience for the retail industry and uncertainty has become the “new normal.” The COVID-19 pandemic forced most retailers to reimagine their business processes to increase productivity, reduce costs and promote safety and privacy. Fortunately, experiencing the unimaginable has better equipped us with the tools to navigate continued periods of flux and more retailers are seeing why innovation is critical to surviving and thriving amid constant change.

With an increased demand for innovative, easy-to-use and affordable solutions, we are seeing accelerated growth for NFC technology. And we are really excited about the opportunities it presents for Janam, its partners and ultimately retailers and the customers they serve. We’ve invested significant resources into building our relationships with Apple and Google to fuel the next generation of self-credentialing and access control solutions, and as a result, our solutions eliminate the challenges often associated with employee, guest and vendor check-in, healthcare credentials verification, retail loyalty programs, age verification, ticketing, boarding and registration.
