By: Chris Arnold, RSPA Marketing Communications Manager

The RSPA Community is stronger than ever and building a brighter future for the retail IT industry. In 2019, the RSPA collaborated with with vendor member Intel to launch a Retail Experience Center in the Charlotte headquarters. This space is designated to celebrate RSPA member innovation by showcasing solutions that will impact the experience of either the servicing agent, merchant, or patron.

Featured products and solutions deliver a minimum of one of the following:vendor member Intel to launch a Retail Experience Center in the Charlotte headquarters. This space is designated to celebrate RSPA member innovation by showcasing solutions that will impact the experience of either the servicing agent, merchant, or patron.

  • Reduce the cost of the service model and increase uptime
  • Drive a strong ROI by reducing merchant cost or increasing sales
  • Impact the experience of the patron in a material way

The products and solutions will be refreshed annually and voted upon by the RSPA Strategic Technology Solutions Committee. After concluding the inaugural Call for Innovation submission and voting process in Q4 of 2019, the RSPA announced at Inspire 2020 in The Bahamas that the 2020 Retail Experience Center Solutions will be:

  • FastSensor – the first AI-powered, people-tracking solution for indoor venues, which delivers real-time customer behavior insights that drive more on-site engagement and sales
  • e-Nabler Corp / eMobilePOS – an mPOS solution, now in full production status, which allows mass transportation passengers to purchase fares on board trains using any tender type
  • Payment Logistics Limited / PayLink – streamlines merchant operations by digitally connecting patrons and staff to an advanced mobile commerce platform
  • Vend –software focused on inventory-based retailers, with a specialty in omni-commerce integrations

RSPA President and CEO John Kirk mentioned in his Inspire closing remarks, “We would love to showcase all our member products. The easy thing would have been to pass on the creation of the Experience Center. We decided that we must do more to celebrate the success of our members.”

Although there is limited physical space to feature products in the Retail Experience Center, there are many products reshaping the retail IT space that deserve recognition for building an innovative and stronger industry. To recognize these products and solutions, the RSPA is happy to introduce the 2020 RSPA Retail IT Product Watchlist, a list of compiled providers, products and solutions who demonstrated support of the RSPA Retail Experience Center.
