CHARLOTTE, NC and CLEVELAND, OH – The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) today announced a new benefit program that will allow its members to cost-effectively outsource management of human resources, employee benefits, payroll administration, and risk management. Through an initiative with national provider Group Management Services, RSPA members will receive preferred rates on a variety of HR services including access to employee benefits, most notably healthcare insurance.
This move continues to increase the ROI (return on investment) of an RSPA membership for its VAR, ISV, and vendor members. Through this program, RSPA members of all sizes will have the buying power previously limited to larger organizations.
GMS has established policies with some of the largest health insurance providers in the United States to provide best-in-class benefits solutions to SMB organizations at an affordable rate. GMS has worked with carriers in all 50 states including major healthcare providers Cigna, United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, and Aetna.
This program kickoff will coincide with RetailNOW, the RSPA’s annual trade show, scheduled for July 28-31 in San Antonio. GMS Sales Manager Alexa Krost and HR Account Manager Hunter Lewis will be in the RSPA booth (#423) for the duration of the expo for one-on-one consultations with members.
RSPA members will receive preferred rates on an administrative fee that includes several additional human resources services such as:
- Employer Risk Management: Workers’ compensation assistance including policy administration and claims reporting; unemployment assistance protection and unemployment claim assistance
- Human Resources: Federal, state, and local HR law compliance assistance; employee compliance training; employee handbook creation assistance; job descriptions; electronic onboarding; manager training; employee performance management; human resource audits
- Payroll: Payroll tax management, online payroll services, payroll calendars, employee self-service
- Employee Benefits Administration: Group health coverage, 401(k) plans, profit sharing, supplemental insurance plans, workplace wellness programs
- Recruiting: GMS recruiters establish job targets, source candidates, conduct phone screens, and schedule interviews on the client’s behalf
GMS, which has an average client size of 16 employees and a history of working with associations, provides its services to the nine-employee staff of the RSPA. “RSPA is a GMS customer, and our satisfaction with their services led to this initiative,” said RSPA President and CEO John Kirk. “We’ve had a great experience with GMS and are benefitting from their services because they’re aligned with organizations our size. We understand that how we care for one another will impact how we care for our members.
