PERU, IN – Through AppsforthePOS, LLC and other OneDine dealers, you can receive OneDine’s order-ahead software for free.
The COVID-19 crisis has hit our restaurant family hard.
From mitigating risk to our workers and customers, to figuring out how to switch from a dining-room model to take-out and delivery-only—and quickly—restaurants have had to move faster than ever to stay open during this unprecedented health crisis.
OneDine and their dealer channel have moved to help as many restaurants as possible stay afloat during this difficult time.
OneDine software allows restaurants guests to order ahead and pay using their phones—all touch-free, and all in accordance with the social distancing rules that are slowing the spread of the virus.
Here’s how it works:
Restaurants that sign up receive a QR code from OneDine, and print signs with that QR code to place near designated parking spots at their restaurant.
Guests can order and pay by driving up and parking, scanning the QR code, and entering their order into the mobile-friendly restaurant web page that the code brings up. The option to order ahead, and notify the restaurant when they arrive, is also available. Text-to-pay functionality is enabled as well.
Servers deliver the food to-go, directly to the guest’s car.
All setup fees, transaction fees, and ongoing fees are being waived while the guidelines and restrictions against public gatherings are in place, and there are no contracts or term commitments.
OneDine’s technology can bridge the critical gap that many restaurants have when it comes to switching from a traditional, dine-in restaurant to one that can support a major increase in take-out and/or delivery orders.
This is why we feel that it is incumbent on us to offer it to restaurants free of charge—we want to ensure that our restaurant partners have whatever help we can provide as they pivot and adapt to continue serving customers, while still playing their part in protecting public health.
In recent weeks, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of support for small businesses of all kinds that are facing the very real possibility of shutting down due to the coronavirus and the restrictions that are being put in place. This has been a real bright spot in an otherwise very dark time.
On the restaurant front, that support looks like everything from customers placing orders to their favorite bakeries, and having them shipped to their doors, to patrons setting up funds to support restaurant employees who are completely out of work for the foreseeable future.
It’s looked like a renewed commitment to buying from local purveyors, and to getting creative with ways to patronize local restaurants. We are so proud to be part of this community, and to be part of this greater coming together that is supporting the industry’s values and its millions of workers.
If OneDine can help your restaurant keep serving customers safely, then please sign up for our technology. Our team is committed to helping all of us get through this crisis, and we’re working overtime—including weekends!—to sign up as many restaurants as possible.
