We are investing to accelerate the growth of our retail customer footprint in North America by a network of partners that provide value added products and services to specific retail and hospitality segments.

Why did you join RSPA?
David Thomas has attended RetailNOW over the years and has appreciated the networking opportunities and education sessions conducted at the conferences. RSPA has been an important and strategic partner for many ISVs, Distributors and VARs in the Retail and Hospitality markets. It is very strategic for TCPOS North America to become a participant and member of the successful RSPA ecosystem that has been evolving for so many decades.

What are the core values of your company?
Three main pillars define TCPOS’s core values;

  1. Adaptability for customers and partners
  2. Extensible POS solution architecture

Name one fun fact that makes your company different from others.
Our annual partner conference is held in various locations in Europe, where we visit historic site(s) that the country is representative of.

How do you currently support the channel/what services do you provide to the channel?
We provide the following support for our channel partners:

  1. On-site personal application and development training
  2. A wiki to access information and best practices
  3. Monthly educational webinars
  4. Helpdesk for 3rd level support
  5. Joint sales and marketing
  6. Partner conference for networking opportunities

What is the most encouraging thing you see for the future of the point of sale technology industry?
We will see more ecommerce retailer’s setup brick and mortar stores (i.e Amazon, Athleta, Birchbox, Bonobos and Warby Parker) where they will realize that building their Omni channel strategy around the POS business rules will provides the best consumer experience and convenience. We will also see that more retailers will extend their business beyond their current brand and retail formats. We see Starbuck’s acquisition of Tevana and 3G Capital owner of Burger King acquires Tim Hortons. These conglomerates will look to merge store and corporate solutions. Another trend is that you will see more retailers use of pop-up retail or flash retailing where businesses want to experiment with new products, retail concepts or store formats. Having the ability to configure and deploy a POS system whether mobile or fixed station, as well the ability to centrally configure a unique transaction set, unique look and feel, all from a single database platform will be very important for merchants future strategies.
