RSPA Education VP Kathy Meader Earns Training Management Certification

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) is happy to announce that RSPA Vice President of Member Education Services Kathy Meader has earned designation as a Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM).

Meader recently completed the Training Industry Inc. CPTM program that provides individuals with the tools and resources to align training and business needs to achieve new levels of effectiveness and impact. As a CPTM, Meader will continue to identify needs, develop and deliver solutions, evaluate performance, and create strategic alignment for RSPA members.

“Kathy has led RSPA education to new heights, and her taking the initiative to earn this certification is another step forward,” said RSPA President & CEO Jim Roddy. “Member feedback about education at our events and online has been very positive during Kathy’s tenure, and this is another signal to our community that the RSPA will continue to lead the way in retail IT VAR and ISV education.”

Meader has 18+ years of experience driving results through educational programs and events focused on productivity and performance. She also has a background that includes leading productivity initiatives in the channel, management training, and sales performance programs. In her current role, Meader leads, creates, and enhances association education programs under the RSPA Academy umbrella and leads as project manager for the RSPA’s two signature events, RetailNOW and RSPA Inspire.

“The certification process has improved my ability to identify and apply real-world training and development best practices,” said Meader. “There are thousands of general training opportunities in the market. The RSPA is now uniquely positioned to offer members tailored training and learning opportunities that directly align with their business goals and objectives. Together, we can drive success.”

One key accomplishment under Meader’s leadership is RSPA Academy EXCELerate, the next generation of education for the retail IT channel. This online system offers continuous learning, training, and development opportunities anytime, anywhere, from any device. By leveraging online content, the RSPA will continue delivering the valuable educational programs and resources that members have come to expect.

At RetailNOW 2021, July 25-27 in Nashville, TN, the event’s education sessions set a record of 54 average attendees per breakout session. RetailNOW 2022, July 24-26 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, will offer several new education opportunities such as expanded education tracks including a new ISV Education Track.

Additionally, Inspire 2022, the RSPA’s annual leadership conference, drew a sizeable crowd of executives and future leaders to Clearwater Beach, FL, Jan. 23-26. Inspire attracted a record number of ISVs this year and a quarter of the event attendees were first-timers – many of them the next generation.
