CHARLOTTE, NC – The Retail Solutions Provider Association (RSPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new President and CEO, John T. Kirk.
The RSPA is a non-profit association comprised of resellers, distributors, hardware manufacturers, software developers, consultants and service providers who bring retail technology solutions to the marketplace. RSPA is the only association connecting the Point of Sale technology ecosystem, and the President and CEO of the organization will play an integral part in this.
Mr. Kirk is a channel veteran, having worked as Assistant Vice President of Hospitality Worldwide Industry Marketing for the NCR Corporation, and, most recently, as Group Vice President of North American SMB Sales and Distribution for the Oracle Corporation. His impressive background boasts a variety of leadership positions, and he has helped to establish and foster team-building programs that have aided in increased sales productivity, motivation, and leadership.
“We are thrilled to have Mr. Kirk join the RSPA as President and CEO,” says Mark Fraker, Chairman of the Board of Directors for RSPA. “He possesses all the qualities we have been searching for in a new leader, coupled with many years of experience within the channel. He has successfully championed new initiatives, increased sales, and accelerated growth in many of his previous professional endeavors, and we’re looking forward to working with him to grow the RSPA the same way.”
The RSPA has been searching for a candidate to fill this role since July, after the previous President and CEO stepped down. The RSPA is governed by a 16-member board of directors to which Mr. Kirk will report. Together, the board and CEO assure RSPA’s relevance to the community, the accomplishment of RSPA’s mission and vision, and the accountability of RSPA to its diverse constituents.
