Please provide a description of your company in 50 words or less.
Funpad is a global ODM manufacturer of Android (Google GMS certified) and Windows IoT LTSC POS hardware — tablets to kiosks. With deep payment card integration expertise, strong in-house R&D, and rigorous quality control, we deliver stable, field-proven devices, backed by local North American delivery and a 3-year warranty.
Why did you join RSPA?
We joined RSPA to connect directly with Retail & Restaurant solution providers and VARs who need a trusted manufacturing partner for custom POS hardware. As an ODM building both Google GMS-certified Android with NFC (SoftPOS ready) and Windows IoT LTSC devices, we want to be the partner solution providers turn to for reliable, field-proven hardware, deep POS/payment integration know-how, and North American-based delivery and warranty support. We’re looking to build long-term partnerships within the RSPA community and support members’ custom hardware programs from concept through production.
What are the core values of your company?
Reliability first. Every device we design must survive years of daily use in real retail environments — that’s the standard we hold ourselves to before a product ever ships. Engineering ownership. As an ODM, we control our own R&D and manufacturing end-to-end, so we can guarantee quality rather than depend on third parties for it. Partnership over transactions. We see every ODM customer relationship as long-term — from initial design through years of field support and warranty. Regional accountability. We believe hardware partners should be reachable, not distant — which is why we’ve built local delivery and 3-year local warranty support in North America, not just overseas fulfillment.
What verticals do you serve?
We serve the retail and hospitality point-of-sale ecosystem, including quick-service and full-service restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, retail chains, and self-service/kiosk deployments. Because our product line spans both Google GMS-certified Android and Windows, we’re able to support solution providers regardless of which OS ecosystem their software is built on — giving VARs and ISVs flexibility rather than forcing a platform choice.
What products/services do you provide?
We design and manufacture (ODM) POS terminals, all-in-one commercial tablets, self-order kiosks, and kitchen display systems (KDS) — spanning Android (GMS-certified) and Windows platforms. Beyond hardware, we bring deep integration experience with POS software and card payment processing, helping partners avoid costly redesign cycles. Our services include custom industrial design, full ODM engineering, manufacturing, and North America-based delivery with local 3-year warranty support — allowing solution providers to bring a fully realized hardware product to market without building their own factory relationships from scratch.
Name one fun fact that makes your company different from others.
Most ODM hardware manufacturers make you choose one ecosystem. We don’t — Funpad is one of the few manufacturers that maintains both a Google GMS-certified Android product line and a Windows IoT LTSC licensed product line side by side, built on the same engineering and manufacturing foundation. That means a solution provider can prototype on one OS and pivot to the other without switching hardware partners.
What is the most encouraging thing you see for the future of the retail IT industry?
The retail IT industry is moving away from one-size-fits-all hardware and toward purpose-built, integrated solutions — self-order kiosks that talk directly to kitchen displays, payment terminals that double as engagement tools, unattended and donation-based commerce growing into the mainstream. As an ODM, we find this encouraging because it means hardware and software finally have to work together by design, not as an afterthought — and that’s exactly the kind of collaboration we build for.
