connect: How long have you been involved in the retail technology industry?
Intrix launched in 1989. We have more than a decade of payment industry tenure. Our team of professional executives has assembled more than 125 collective years’ of experience and tenure in retail payments and financial services.
connect: What attracted you to RSPA?
Intrix believes in the power of partnership, especially where target market and technology solutions intersect so synergistically! The membership focus of RSPA is very closely aligned with the Intrix referral channel growth strategy. As a member of RSPA, we are ensured that our relevant content and advertising dollars are well targeted to the niche vertical of resellers’ in the value chain to deliver integrated payment solutions to retailers.
connect: What are the core values of your company?
Our company’s philosophy is balanced across several dimensions - service, ROI, value creation and partnerships – especially in the specific niche of integrated payment solutions via reseller relationships. Intrix has recently announced a growth strategy to become a Top 50 acquirer by 2015. The 50x15 Plan calls for an aggressive acquisition and organic growth strategy whereby Intrix is seeking to partner with referral sources and existing agent portfolios that offer specialized, integrated payment solutions and complimentary services.
connect: Name one fun fact that makes your company different from your competitors.
As our executives are tri-athletes, marathoners and biking enthusiasts’, much of our company sponsorship dollars are allocated to foundations that support programs offering these life experiences to inner city, suffering and under privileged youth. Often times, when traveling or competing, the Intrix logo greets you on bike jerseys and race T-shirts!
connect: What is the most encouraging thing you see for the future of the retail technology industry?
We find three (3) growth drivers significantly encouraging:
- Mobile! Mobile – for retailers, payment processing; Mobile – for consumers, eWallets; Mobile – for advertisers, couponing, loyalty and redemption.
- Stabilization of the radical industry changes experienced over the last 24-months, and the resulting acquirer “heavy” fees, brought on by the Dodd Frank Act and IRS Reporting mandates.
- High rate of adoption by small/medium retailers and large enterprises of integrated payment solutions that encompass and address the needs of both the POS and the back office.
