RSPA Certification Program


At RetailNOW2009 RSPA launched the Certification Program. The Certification Program is a new way to identify professionals in our industry and raise the standards of the retail technology industry. The RSPA Certification not only provides benefits to the people and businesses who are RSPA certified, but also to the industry overall. The RSPA Certification Program will launch in several stages beginning with company certification and later will offer an individual certification track.

Program History
Since 2006, RSPA has been an all inclusive association and when the association initially reached out to all retail technology stakeholders, we discovered a need to educate and train industry professionals.

Certification not only provides benefits to the people and businesses who are RSPA certified but also to the industry overall. Certification offers assurances to the public, including those who use the products and professional services of our industry.

Criteria for Certification

• Agree to abide by the RSPA Code of Ethics as outlined on this application
Sell and support at least one retail application to qualify
Attend at least one industry event in the past year
Maintain a company website displaying RSPA member logo
Provide Customer/Technical Support via phone at a minimum
Operate as a business licensed in the state where you have a physical/market presence
Meet guidelines for revenue derived from sales and service
RSPA membership must be paid in full annually
